![]() I'm not a great keyboard player used it in the past. The fa has sounds that I like better too. I looooove the size and lightness of the 06 though!Yes I love that about the ds-61 too! Its light and even runs on batteries. But the bass sounds on the FA boards are killer, so getting an 07 for that extra split would make a lot of sense. When I was doing more gigs playing LH key bass along with RH keys, I'd just bring my MicroKorg. ![]() I didn't realize the 07 had an extra split option, that's awesome! So I was hoping that the fa-06 would do the job! Damn! The fa-07 is about $400 more and takes up more width on stage I think on one song I had 4 sounds with the 3 splits. Im playing bass but adding in keys and was hoping i could get theįa-06 to play the left hand bass while still having two other sounds like I'm often tempted to get something like a YC73 for a bottom board, but the FA06 is more than capable at just about everything and having everything in that little package makes load-in and setup a breeze.Yes I loved gigging with the fa-07 super handy those pads! I recently started playing gigs again after getting vaccinated, and still loving this dude. That's one of my favorite features of the board, I can get 16 "favorites" at a time, and then to get to another bank of 16 I just bump the scroll wheel. I don't usually split or layer, honestly, but the 16 pads are excellent for organizing patches for playing live. They cut corners in that department, for sure. The 06 isn't super versatile as far as splitting goes, I think you can only split or layer up to two voices simultaneously.
